OOO #2: Outfits, Ohio, and Other Things I Like
A seasonally-appropriate outfit, a perfect dessert, and the item of clothing that gets me the most compliments.

I’ve been to South Village Grille twice—once for lunch, once for brunch. When I went for lunch, I had a white pizza with some sort of kale salad on top of it. I thought it was some of the best pizza I’d had in Columbus, so I brought some home for my husband to try. After about an hour of it sitting in the fridge, I asked him if I could eat it myself. I feel (a little) bad about doing that.
BUT I bring up South Village Grille now because I need everyone to know about their butter cake. Butter does in fact make everything better, and this cake was soft and rich and piping hot and PERFECT. It may be one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. The cake was so good that it could have stood alone without the ice cream and berry glaze, but I’ll admit I always do appreciate the presence of anything resembling jam.
Recommendation: The Butter Cake at South Village Grille
Other Things I Like
Rowing Blazers released a collaboration with ‘47 a little while back, and when I saw the announcement for it, I knew there was nothing I needed more in this life than a corduroy baseball hat (please someone take my credit card away). Did I set an alarm to buy it as soon as it went on sale? Yes, I did. Did a man in Kroger complement me three times on it as we kept running into each other during our respective grocery shops? Yes, he did. Did we run into each other a fourth time, and he sort of smiled at me because he knew it would be weird if he said something again, but this interaction was somehow even more awkward than if he had complimented me a fourth time, and then we both sort of half-smiled and half-grimaced? Yes, we did.
I do like the hat a lot though.
Recommendation: The ‘47 x Rowing Blazers collab is out of stock, but pretty much everything on the Rowing Blazers website is worth investigating. (Author’s Note: I make no money off of any of my recommendations because I’m not savvy or motivated enough to figure out how to).
That’s it! I hope you enjoyed this little break, and have a good rest of your Wednesday!
